Özlem Bulut started her career as street musician. At the age of 14 she visited the Music conservatory of the Mersin Üniversitesi, afterwards she studies opera in Instanbul and Vienna, and performed at the Volksoper Wien, Opera Bastille Paris and Staatsoper Wien. Awarded with the Austrian World Music and the Mia Award, the singer is regularly guest at renown and international stages with her versatile projects. With her own project the singer and musician Özlem Bulut is connecting elements of Anatolian and oriental music with Jazz, Pop and Soul since 2008. Performances at the Donauinselfest, the ORF Radiokulturhaus and Porgy and Bess followed. With the project „Baroque Arabesque“ she is the first time in contact with the music of the Baroque and trying to find a new soundscape with historical instruments.
